19 men and women were accused of witchcraft in September of 1692 and were sent to be hung for their crimes near Salem Village. 80 years later a man was stoned to death refusing to be punished for witchcraft. The salem witch trials were prosecutions and accusations of people (mainly women) who were considered a witch. There were 200 accusations, 20 executed, 14 women, and 1 was hanged.The Salem Witch Trial happened in Colonial Massachusetts in February of 1692 to May of 1693. People were traumatized, and scared of the Devil.In 1692 teenage girls started barking like dogs, screaming, dancing strange in the woods. This behavior was examined by a doctor who described it being bewitched. They believed to dance in the dark magic in the woods. The were told, "To bewitch a witch, you must draw a person under her spell." Facts about the Salem Witch Trials is that, it ended around September, because people finally stated it was just dreams and visions.On September 22, eight people were hanged. That was the last of the Salem Witch Trials. Two dogs were killed for suspension of witchcraft.
